We always camp in State Parks but try to mix it up from year to year. This allows us to see the state cheaply as State Parks are relatively inexpensive. We also try to pick a park near a store, just in case. On our first camping trip, our daughter was 8 months old. The following year, our second daughter was only 2 months old. This year, our third daughter will make her first trip at 3 months old. It's just as easy to mix formula outside as it is to mix it in a hotel room. Camping is a great way to keep that TV off and get your kids outside. It shows kids (and husbands) that there are other things to do that don't require electricity - like hiking, fishing, swimming and just getting to know each other all over again. Happy camping!!

Keywords: Camping Supplies

Camping in the rain

Instead of taking a trip to Cedar Point for the 4th of July weekend we decided to take our 3 boys camping. So I purchased a 15 X 7 Coleman dome tent. We also purchased some camping items we needed such as a Coleman stove, coffee peculator, sleeping bag for me. We also had a small tent for our 10 yr.old twin sons.

I switched on the flashlight to where else it was dripping, the whole tent seemed to be leaking. Everyone's sleeping bag and pillow was damp or soaking wet. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night.

We took the Coleman tent back and exchanged for a smaller more waterproof one. After everything dries apply seam sealer and also spray the tent with silicone spray to help it repel water. Eureaka! Seam sealer! We should have done that the first time. We should have been better prepared for rain. I have posted about the trip before, so I don't wish to write about it all over again. But, to summarize, it was a amazing fall day when it was warmer than you would have expected. It was one of those days that sneak up on you. There you are, in the woods by yourself Family Camping Tents and you stop and have a serious moment. Do you know what I mean by that? I mean, it was a really BIG moment. Who knows where those come from, or how to get them back. But one thing is for sure, you are going to seek that type of experience again. For sure, these are the types of things you really need in your life. So anyway, I don't have that much to say today except that, yes, I'm ready to be back in the woods again. Another similar post.

Camping Sites

Whether you are a casual camper or you've been camping for years, it always pays to bring complete camping gear and equipment. And to ensure safe and hassle-free camping, go for camping equipment made of high quality materials and a good value for your money.

Depending on where you live in the country, almost every time of the year can be a good time to go out camping with your friends or family. Some of those times might require special camping equipment needed for different seasons. Using the better quality camping supplies available will usually pay off in the long run due to their ability to withstand continual use over time. These better brands for camping don't necessarily have to cost a lot of money when you look for these items online. It's only a few clicks away to an available camping equipment outlet found on the Internet.

Various camping equipment outlets will allow for nice discounts when you buy almost anything related to camping like sleeping gear, tents, emergency and survival equipment, camping furniture, lighting or lanterns for camping, knives, hatchets and many more items.

Some of these camping equipment outlets also sell slightly used camping gear that will usually be more discounted at then newer lesser quality items. Also, you are looking for a better quality camping equipment but want to stay under budget, purchasing slightly used items may allow for getting the better quality. You might realistically expect that slightly used camping gear will likely last longer than the cheaper new items you could get for less money. You really need to compare the better brands with the cheaper ones to really understand the difference in quality.

Taking some time to research various camping resources like articles and consumer news will usually help your chances for a more enjoyable camping experience over time. Looking through various tips and other information regarding camping will help you understand what brands will be better for various categories of camping supplies. Part of your research helping towards a more enjoyable camping adventure will include comparing stores with each other to find some of those better deals.

You also might look into finding this equipment in the classifieds or auctions. Auctions online will have available for sale and bid for almost any camping or hiking supplies you could ever think of being available and more. Some of these sites will have both auctions and no bidding purchases available to the consumer. Consumers who like to find deals can sometimes find great ones using auctions. Others that may be reluctant to bid on items will often have the chance to simply purchase those items at a given price.

Summer camps could be a form of holiday, a learning experience, or a bit of both. Some of the maximum benefits summer camps provide is the chance for children to make new friends, learn new skills or just look up upon current ones, and stay busy and active all through the summer months.

Fun in the Camping World

The camping world holds limitless fun. Enjoying the benefits of the great outdoors is the main attraction of the camping world. A few of the possibilities to partake in while camping include swimming and hiking, as well as some rest and relaxation. The joys can be endless in the camping world. However, although it is good to be prepared for whatever activities you would like to do, it is even more important to be ready to deal with those you would rather avoid.

A tent or other shelter is the main thing that you will need for camping. A tent or other shelter will help protect you against the elements. The conditions in the camping world can range from bright and sunny to torrential downpours in a matter of minutes! The inside of a tent can shield you from the sun in very hot weather. In keeping dry during rainstorms, a sturdy rain fly over the roof of your tent can go a long way. The floor will stay dry, too, if you spread a tarp beneath your tent. If you have an ample budget, investing in a pop up camper can be a great alternative for shelter. There are many different kinds of shelter that can be purchased for use in the camping world.

One of the best parts of camping can be sleeping under the stars and feeling the cool breeze blow gently through your tent windows. To make sleeping even more comfortable, it is wise to invest in sleeping bags and padding. There are many different styles of sleeping bags, depending on your needs. Conventional sleeping bags that zip up around your chest are one option. There are also mummy style sleeping bags which can zip all the way up and around your head! Both kinds come in many different colors, materials, as well as a wide range of temperature suitabilities. It is good to have mats or padding for beneath your sleeping bag, too. You can get anything from a foam egg crate style pad to a blow up mattress, depending on your needs. At night you can be warm and comfortable with the right gear.

As far as outdoor activities go, there are a wide array of possibilities. Hiking is a sport that many enjoy in the camping world. Terrain and distance vary with the difficulty level of hiking trails. Even on beginner trails, it is best to be prepared. Bottled water is an important provision to bring. Hiking is one of the many forms of exercise in which it is crucial to stay hydrated. Hiking boots are another item that make the trek easier. These come in many different colors and materials, depending on your needs and budget. A Global positioning system or compass are good to have in case you get lost. You may even want to bring a light snack such as trail mix for longer treks. Hiking should be comfortable and safe with these provisions.

Dry matches, cooking gear and firewood are also important items to have while camping. Many of the aforementioned items you need are very durable and can last you for years of camping fun. Follow these tips and you will make endless wonderful memories while camping.

What was your first tent

Remember your first tent? Are you kids playing with tents like my kids are? Sure, the tent may only be in the living room. I find it very rewarding to see the same enthusiasm in my kids that I have. I think this is something you should really encourage. Reflect on the great things that have happened as a result of your camping. Now think about all of those great things that lie ahead for your kids. Why not push camping on your kids when they are very young. So, I'll get off my soap box and back on point. The earlier you introduce your kids to camping the more likely that they will stick with the hobby.

Something else you will like

Post Tags: The Camping Gear, Camping Gear Outdoors, Camp Gear

Great Camping Today

Welcome

We honestly hope you see value in your visit to our website.

Thanks for reading my first post. It is our aim to make this blog as helpful as we can. Our focus is on camp stuff. We dig camping and we're guessing you do too. That's why you've come here after all. We have been on more camping trips than I could count. But we never ever get tired of it. It's simply such a great experience. There is something really cool about being in the great outdoors that is like nothing else. I'm not sure exactly how to describe it completely. But it is our goal to bring some of those experiences to this blog for you to share. I'll bet you could be writing this blog. So we all have something in common. It is my hope that this blog can bring us together in ways that would not be otherwise possible.

I will try to have more to say tomorrow. Falling asleep on the beach sands only to wake up the next morning with a harsh sunburn is not the best plan. Instead, get a beach tent. Those pop up beach tents start as low as $19. This offers some shelter and protection for those who want to sleep on the beach.

Camping on the beach for a lot of people is not so about the outdoors experience, or hunting for preys. For the most part, is it about enjoying the ambiance and majestic view of the ocean. This is a more tamed and romantic approach to camping.

Keywords: Camping, Camping Fun, Camping Tent

See also: Camping Kitchen

camping tents

Entry Tags: Camping Tents, Fresh Air, Fresh Air

Stories from the outdoors

My first time I hiked to a place called Indian cliffs I was hung from a rope. I was about 13 years old. I was camping with the scout in upstate NY. Part of what this troop like to do was repelling. So to make a long story even longer. We hiked to the cliffs learn to tie our own harness. And was asked to turn around and walk down the wall. It was so hard at first but when I let it go it was so great. I have still have a fear but love to do these things till today. See more..

Even though my husband's family had a pop-up camper when he was a kid, we really didn't get into the entire camper thing. Instead, we added time periods and added canvas tents suitable for the Revolutionary and Civil War periods. Non-historic camping now generally involved a cabin, and with a little shopping around or a check of state park sites, we did well by searching for deals. Pennsylvania state parks generally open their campgrounds from March through late December and the state Website offers a wealth of information about the facilities, the park features and the surrounding area. You can find everything from rustic sites accessible only by foot to lodges that will sleep up to 14 people at the state parks.

Swimming Nude While Camping

Do you like to camp? I sure do. While, one of the best parts of summer camping is swimming Especially in the summer, I just love a dip when I'm out in the woods. I know that there are many ways to enjoy yourself while camping. But, for me, a dip in the water is more refreshing than just about anything else I can think of. So, I say, no matter what the temperature is out there, you need to really consider how wonder that water would feel over your body. Even if you don't I'm sure you will enjoy your camping experience. But I've found that, over the years the less concerned I am about having the right the camping gear. In fact, as I've gotten older, my mind has moved away from the gear and more on the experience itself. Perhaps you are going through this too. But, it is more and more just about getting away. The experience itself is what is important to me and I could care less about what I bring with me in the woods. You're probably saying, no kidding. There are tons of people every time I go shopping who seem to be more concerned about the camping gear they bring with them then the experience of camping. Just get out there. But what is camping anyway? I'm sure there is a ton of variation. I spent some time pondering this today. For example, some people think of camping as packing up a car and going to a camp ground. Others view camping as an activity where they are not near anyone else for miles and miles. Little kids might think of camping as going in the back yard with a tent. Is there any reason these can't all be camping? I think they are all cool. The bottom line is that they get you outside. If you are interested, go to Caming Wiki I'm sure you will find a ton of interesting things here as well as the definition.

A great site to see..

Comfortable camping tents

No camping expedition should be taken if you do not possess a good camping tent. The most important feature of a good camping tent is durability. Camping tents made by reputed companies come with 5 year guarantees and are capable of withstanding strong winds and torrential rains. They cost from $50 to several hundreds depending on the size and strength. Dome camping tents are lightweight and easy to set up.

Dome tents can house a single person and some come in larger sizes for family outdoor living. The heavier frame tents which were conventionally used for camping are bulky and difficult to erect. Family Camping Tents Some campers prefer renting camping tents because they are used short term and renting is easy on the budget. These comprise everything from art and music to science. You must have no problem selecting a camp, which actually matches your child's requirements, interests and personality. More information.
